Head Of Security Agencies Pays Sympathy Visit To Buni

His Excellency the Executive Governor of Yobe State Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON (Chiroman Gujba) has on Tuesday 21 November 2023 received the head of security agencies in the state on a sympathy visit in which Boko Haram laid an ambush to the Governor’s convey along Damaturu Maiduguri highway which led to the death of one police corporal.

The governor commended the effort of the security agencies attached to the Governor’s convey for standing up by foiling the plan of the terrorists.

He commended their gallantry for countering and chasing away the terrorists. Security agencies.

The governor was represented by his Deputy His Excellency Hon Idi Barde Gubana ( Wazirin Fune) who also sympathised with the police command on the unfortunate incident of the death of a police corporal in the line of duty.

Earlier speaking on behalf of the delegation, the commissioner of police Yobe state command said they were at the government house to commiserate with the state government on a recent ambush and attack by some suspected Boko Haram terrorists along Maiduguri road.

Other members of the delegation include the commanding officer 233 Battalion, the Director of Security services, commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corp.

Others are the Controller Correctional Service, Nigeria immigration service as well as Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, Federal Road Safety Corp and Peace Corps.

They expressed their disappointment on the incident. The state government in collaboration with the security agencies would tackle the security challenges in the state.
