Adamawa NLC joins national protest on hunger, hardship & insecurity.

The Adamawa state chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress has joined it counters in staging a peaceful protest against economic hardship, hunger and insecurity bedeviling the country.

Leadership and some members of the Congress  led by the state chairman,Comrade Emmanuel Fashe trekked from the NLC state Secretariat situated at Ribadu street,old GRA. Jimeta through the famous police roundabout to Government House Gate, Dougerie hills Yola protesting the high cost of living.

While addressing government officials at the govt.house gate, Fashe said hunger, poverty and insecurity are tormenting Nigerians in the land lamenting that people are dieing to hunger by the day to realities of life

Fashe added that Nigeria is wealthy enough to Carter for all Nigerians but due to lack of political will and bad or wrong policies of government, sufferings have taken over the mantle of leadership in all spheres of life.

He regrettably confirmed that the situation is so bad that prices of goods in our markets have skyrocketed to 300% with impunity calling on government to bring policies with human face.

While commending Governor Fintiri’s administration giant strides in the state,Fashe appealed to him to bring back the N10,000 palliatives support been paying by his government to workers until this February when it was withdrawn.

Comrade Emmanuel Fashe later presented a copy of a letter of demands to the Governor for onwards transmission to president Ahmed Bola Tinubu in Abuja.

Receiving the protesters in their numbers on behalf of the Governor, Chief of Staff to Gov.Fintiri, Edgar Amos commended the NLC for pressing on the demands and welfare of their members in an orderly and matured matter.

Amos promised to submit their message to the Governor describing the hardship in the land as “unfortunate” decrying that “no food no peace and no food no security”.
