NDE trains 20 youth on  basic national open apprenticeship skills in Adamawa

Twenty (20) beneficiaries have commenced three (3) months intensive vocational training on Basic National Open Apprenticeship Skills (B-NOAS) oganised by the National Directorate Of Employment, NDE in Adamawa state.

Inaugurating the trainees in Yola Thursday,the Director General of the Directorate,Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo said the Directorate (NDE)  as part of its commitment to reduce if not eradicate employment among our teeming youths floated this vocational skills acquisition training tagged “Basic National Open Apprenticeship Skills, B-NOAS” solely to coach selected beneficiaries in to digital and domestic trade.

Represented by the Head of Department, Human Resources, NDE.Pwa Angulma Josiah, Fikpo employ the trainees to take the training serious noting that the Directorate has trained hundreds of thousands across the country over the years.

Fikpo also announced that the twenty beneficiaries would be trained in two thematic fields including catering services and Computer repairs urging them to be serious to becoming employers of labour by next year after graduation.

In her goodwill message,Amina L.A. Shettima,H.O.D, Vocational skills development,NDE head quarters Abuja cautioned the trainees to be punctual in the training warning that any one that does have 70% attendance will certainly have defects in the program.

Represented by Haroun Mohammed Eze, Shettima charged them to be serious about it saying that the training is taking place simultaneously in the 36 states including FCT-Abuja with 20 selected participants.

She hammered on ensuring the safety of the trainees noting that the 740 selected beneficiaries should count themselves lucky to be choosed to benefit from the scheme.

In her response,the master trainer for the program,madam Favour appreciated the NDE management for the opportunity given to her and beneficiaries.

Favour said so far the trainees have been cooperative and active in the training calling on them to sustain the tempo which lead all to the promised land or success at the end.

In their separate vote of thanks as participants,Hapsat Usman Mallabu and Barkido Ibrahim expressed delight with opportunity given to them to excel in their choosed ventures promising to be good ambassadors of the Directorate any where any time.
