7,000 Binani’s supporters dump her, shift loyalty to Adamawa APC leadership

In a shocking turn of events, a support group of Engr. Aishatu Ahmed Modibbo (Binani) has abandoned her and pledged their loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in Adamawa State. The group, known as the Binani Support Group, has a membership strength of over 7,000 and was formed in 2013 to promote the ideals of the APC party.
According to the Coordinator of the group, Mallam Mutawab Haruna, the decision to dump Binani was unanimous, and the group has reverted to its original name, “APC Youth Development Forum Adamawa Northern Zone”. Haruna stated that the group’s primary aim has always been to promote the party’s ideals, preach unity, and canvass for development at all levels.
The group’s leader expressed gratitude to the APC for providing support, including agricultural empowerment equipment, cash, and skills, even when they were campaigning for Binani’s governorship bid. However, Haruna made it clear that their loyalty is to the party, not to any individual, including Binani.
“We are here to reiterate that our loyalty is to the party, not to Binani or any individual,” Haruna said. “If she decides to leave the party, we wish her good luck, but our commitment is to the unity and progress of the APC.”
This mass defection is seen as a significant blow to Binani’s political ambitions, and it remains to be seen how she will respond to this development. The APC leadership in Adamawa State has welcomed the group’s decision, and it is expected that this will strengthen the party’s position in the state.
