LG Election Tribunal Receives Nine Petitions In Adamawa

The Local Government Election Petitions Tribunal in Adamawa State has received 9 petitions challenging the candidiacy as well as the recent LGCs elections conducted across the 21 LGAs in the State.
Those who filed petitions include Mohammed Jalo, Mustapha Yusuf, Abraham Innocent, Ja’afaru Umar, Khalled Yaro and Zacharia Adamu Umar ADC Candidates for Gombi, Song, Girei, Maiha, Mubi North and Jada LGAs.
Others are, Muhammed Lawan Bello and Shehu Inuwa, both ADC Chairmanship Candidates for Fufore and Yola North LGAs respectively, Gamaliel Gandume of the Labour Party is challenging the candidacy of Hon. Barr. Kassa Dangi Shallom of the PDP who was declared of LG poll conducted in Guyuk LGA.
All the ADC Candidates have dragged Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission, PDP and its who won the exercise at the affected LGAs.
The aggrieved ADC Candidates are contesting the qualifications as well as the election which saw the emergence of all candidates fielded by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
