Ribadu gives scholarship and empowers 500 students, Women in Adamawa

The Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress,APC.Adamawa state chapter, Hon.Mustapha Ribadu has empowered 500 students and residents
of Dodore Community in Bako ward in Yola South local government area in the state.
Flagging off the empowerment program in Yola weekend, Mustapha Ribadu told the beneficiaries that the gesture was meant to reciprocate a good turn back to the society for being favourable to him.
Ribadu said that the intervention coincide with the celebration of his 45th birthday stressing that out of the total number of the beneficiaries.250 are students who were supported with fund under his scholarship scheme while 250 residents of Dodore especially women were empowered to cushion the hardship in the land.
“This gesture is a move to give back to the community that has been so magnanimous to me. Although l am beginning this journey from my immediate community.It is a gesture that is intended to cover every community of our dear state.
”Today I’m marking my 45 birthday and I decided to celebrate with my people especially the community of Dodore in Bako ward in Yola South.
“I will soon launch a scholarship program that will cover the whole state coming from academic background myself. I wish to live long to extend it from Bako ward to Yola South and to the whole state,” he said.
In his keynote address, Ahmadu Bingel Bamoi,Chairman of the APC,Yola South local government area applauded the interventions by Mustapha Ribadu describing it as “timely and crucial initiative”.
Bingel Bamoi charged the students to use the intervention judiciously reminding them that education is bedrock of all developments .
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries,Adam Isah Tukur,a student of the Federal College of Education Yola and Hadiza Abdullahi of Saluwa Foundation, Yola expressed gratitude to the celebrant (Ribadu) for channeling his support towards them.
They pledged to make use of the assistance in the right direction so that they too can help others if the time comes in the future.
Our Correspondent reported that all the beneficiaries were supported with N20,000 each and were visibly noticed to be very appreciative of the gesture.
