Personnel welfare, 7 Division inaugurates accommadition to troops of Operation hadin kai

In-line with the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Olafemi Oluyede policy and philosophy personnel welfare, the 7 Division of the Nigerian Army has inaugurated a one bedroom and two bedroom quarters to senior and corporal and below quarters for the troops of Operation Hadin Kai, with a view to providing them with befitting accommodation.

While commissioning projects at the Maimalari cantonment, Maiduguri on Saturday, the Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC), Brigadier General ugochukwu Unachukwu, called on the troops to redouble their efforts to end the over a decade insurgency in the Northeast.

“I urge you to redouble your efforts to end this insurgency. I know we can do it, we should redouble our Operation. The Chief of Army Staff has done too much to this division and we are expected to reciprocate the gesture by redoubling our efforts”.

The GOC Said With gratitude to the Almighty God, I stand before you with great pride and honour at todays commissioning ceremony of newly constructed 2x SNcos Quarters,newly renovated 2 x 30 family CBQs and 3x SNcOs Quarters which is 7 out of 16 ongoing projects in this Cantonment.”.

“The execution of this project aligns with one of the pillars of the Chief of Army Staff,Lieutenant General Olufemi O Oluyede Command Philosophy which bothers on sound administration through welfare of troops. Hence,this ceremony marks a significant milestone towards improving the welfare and wellbeing of our soldiers and their families.
It further reflects the unwavering commitment of the COAs to providing our.troops with the best possible living conditions, General Unachukwu said

He Said “It is therefore my pleasure to have seen the actualisation of this initiatives under my watch as the Ag GOC 7 Division,through the support and strategic guidelines of the COAS. The backbone of our nation’s defence are the soldiers and it is our duty to ensure that they are adequately supported and cared for.”

“The renovation of these blocks as well as construction of new ones is a testament to that commitment. It is imperative to state that projects of this kind are not only executed to provide soldiers with comfortable and safe abode but also serve”, he added.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Commander 47 Engineering Brigade, Brigadier General A O Kazeem said the projects been commission are 7 out of the 15 ongoing project initiated by the Chief of Army Staff Lt General Olafemi Oluyede in line with his command’s vision and philosophy of the welfare of the troops.

“I am pleased to inform you that the block we are about to commission now boost of state of Art features and amenities aimed at enhancing quality of life all troops. From the upgraded infrastructure system to improve and well reticulated with water resources”, the commander Said.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Master Warrant Officer, Dahiru Magaji thanked the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Olafemi Oluyede, the theater Commander, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar and the GOC for providing them with the befitting accommodation and promised to take good care of the facilities.

“On behalf of the beneficiaries, I want to use this opportunity to thank the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Olafemi Oluyede, the theater Commander, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar and the GOC Brigadier General Oguchukwu Unachukwu for the gesture. We promise to redouble our efforts to end this insurgency and also continue to be loyal and dedicated to our duties”, he added.
