Participation of Elders Crucial for Justice and Fairness in PDP Congress – Dr. Grema Kyari
By Ahmed Baba Kuchichi
In a heartfelt media engagement programme held in Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital, Dr. Grema Kyari, a frontline aspirant for the position of Borno State PDP Chairman, made a compassionate appeal to the party’s critical stakeholders ahead of the 2025 Ward Congresses and the ongoing INEC Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
Addressing members of the press, Dr. Kyari emphasized the importance of inclusivity and direct participation of party elders and leaders in the coming ward congresses scheduled for Saturday, 13th September 2025, across the 312 wards in all 27 Local Government Areas of Borno State.
“I humbly appeal to our respected stakeholders: please come out and be part of the process of electing our ward leaders. Your presence and participation will uplift the morale of our members, strengthen our grassroots base, and ensure fairness, justice, and transparency,” he declared.
Beyond the ward congresses, Dr. Kyari urged stakeholders to lead advocacy and mobilization efforts within their constituencies to encourage citizens to actively register and update their details in the ongoing INEC CVR exercise, stressing that the future strength of the PDP in Borno lies both in internal unity and in empowering citizens through the ballot.
The appeal was specifically targeted at notable leaders including:
Arch. Ibrahim Bunu
Engr. Mohammed Abba Gana
Senator Mohammed Sanusi Dagash
Hajiya Maryam Inna Chiroma
H.E. Dr. Mohammed Wakil
H.E. Mohammed Imam
H.E. Mohammed Ali Jajari
Hon. Dr. Midala Usman Balami
Dist. Kudla Satumari Haske
among others.
Dr. Kyari expressed optimism that their collective action and guidance will make the PDP in Borno stronger, more united, and more people-centered than ever before.
The engagement programme also attracted aspirants for various positions at ward, LGA, and state levels, reflecting a growing determination to reposition PDP as a formidable force in the state.
