‎2025 world cultural/tourism day : Adamawa poise to harness cultural diversity to promote investment.

The Adamawa state government has expressed commitment to harness on the state’s rich cultural diversity to form tourist attractions hub as a source of boosting investment.

‎commissioner of culture and tourism, Hon.Aloysius Baba doke disclosed that, the state is deeply rooted in cultural heritage and that, the state government is poised to leverage on the state’s comparative advantage in cultural diversity to deepen investment and promote business in the state.

Hon.Baba doke while officiating the 2025 world cultural day celebration in Yola weekend said the turn out by the numerous cultural groups to commenerate our heritage is nothing more showcasing the love and prestige accorded to our backgrounds (roots).

He maintained that the colourful cultural display and the durbar procession by different tribes has highlighted the bonds between the people’s heritage which will serve as a springboard for economic rejuvenation.

“This event, which was organized under the theme “Sustainable Transformation”, was a vivid reflection of the state’s unity in diversity and its commitment to promoting tourism as a driver of development.

“The day speaks for itself; you can see us in our diversity, Bachama, Fulani, Igbo, Tiv, Marghi, Laka all here showcasing our beauty. The people should continue to support Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as he consistently approved this celebration for three years now, and many of our children are witnessing this colourful display for the first time.

‎“Adamawa State is a place where you can come and invest. We have peace, diversity, and natural beauty. Our culture is our pride, and today’s celebration has shown the world that Adamawa truly stands tall as the land of beauty,” he added.

Daily Hint Correspondent in Yola reported that the cultural troops dressed in colourful attires trekked in procession from famous Capital school through Galadima Aminu express way down to the Unity fly over(former police round about) while some on horses and camels, others on the foot displaying their cultural performances as they move majestically.

Nigeria’s cultural diversity was brought to the fore as several ethnic nationalities including Igbo, Hausa, Fulani, Tiv,calabar and several others came out to display their colorful cultures acknowledging the role culture plup holding  unity, cooperation, security and business environment.
