Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state still in PDP says Jakada Mubi

The speculation peddling that, Governor Dauda Lawal Dare of Zamfara state has decamped from the People’s Democratic party, PDP to the ruling All Progressives Congress,APC is far from the truth and misleading.
A close Associate to the Governor, Alhaji Fahat Jakada Mubi debunked the claim in a press statement he personally signed and issued in Abuja Thursday (30th October.2025) clarifying that Gov. Dauda Lawal Dare of Zamfara state was in Abuja attending an official function at the National Institute of Security Studies Abuja not for political engagement of any form.
In the statement, Jakada explained that, the Governor(Dare) was a guest lecturer to participants of the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 18 on Wednesday at the National Institute for Security Studies in Abuja and not political negotiations talk more of cross carpeting from his party (PDP).
Jakada described the development as “a calculated attempt to create confusion by mischief makers who Governor Dare has rendered jobless since his assumption of office in 2023 especially with his outstanding performance in turning Zamfara state in to a viable state among its equals.
“Governor Dauda Lawal Dare is still in the PDP actively and is in Abuja for an official function at the National Institute of Security Studies Abuja where he delivered a lecture on the topic “Non-state Actors in Security Management: Issues, Challenges, and Prospects for Peace and Development in Africa – A Zamfara State Perspective.”
Jakada therefore call on the public to disregard such fake news being peddles by hatchet jobbers sponsored by their pay masters for political gains noting that Governor Dauda Lawal Dare remains focus in delivering meaningful projects with direct bearings on the Zamfara state citizens.
“I urge you to disregard such misleading fake news being peddles by enemies of progress for their selfish interest and to creating unnecessary confusion in our dear state where Governor Dauda has rekindled transformation drive in all sectors”. Jakada remarked
He enjoys all and sundry to continue to support and pray for Governor Dauda so as to succeed in the provision of devidend of democracy to his people as he steers the mantle of leadership in the state.
