Yobe State Governor, Hon. The landmark event, themed “Advancing Biomedical Research, Innovation and Global Collaboration in Nigeria,” marks a major milestone in Yobe State’s growing investment in higher education, scientific research, and global academic partnerships.
The Biomedical Research and Training Centre is designed to strengthen capacity in biomedical sciences, promote cutting-edge research, and position Yobe State University as a hub for innovation, knowledge exchange, and international collaboration.
In the same ceremony, Governor Buni will also lead the state in celebrating the Yobe TeenEagle World Champions, whose outstanding global achievement has brought pride and recognition to Yobe State and Nigeria at large. The reception underscores the administration’s commitment to nurturing youth talent, excellence, and intellectual competitiveness.
The event is expected to attract top government officials, academics, researchers, development partners, students, and other stakeholders from within and outside the state.
Governor Buni’s presence at the ceremony further reflects his administration’s sustained focus on education-driven development, youth empowerment, and strategic investment in science and innovation as pillars for Yobe State’s future growth.
