Uzodimma inspects air-force 211 QRG base construction in Owerri
By Hussaini Ibrahim
OWERRI, NIGERIA — Governor Hope Uzodimma has conducted an on-the-spot inspection of the ongoing construction works at the 211 Quick Response Group (QRG) Base of the Nigerian Air Force in Owerri.
The inspection focused particularly on the administrative blocks and associated facilities within the base.
According to the governor, the visit enabled him to observe the level of progress achieved and assess the quality and pace of work in relation to the approved project schedule.
He noted that the structural framework and finishing elements currently underway indicate steady advancement in line with projected milestones.
“I am satisfied with the level of progress recorded so far. The structural framework and finishing works indicate that the project is advancing steadily in line with the approved milestones,” Uzodimma said.
During his interaction with the contractor handling the project, the governor emphasized the importance of sustaining — and where possible accelerating — the current pace of work to ensure strict adherence to the agreed delivery timeline as stipulated in the contractual agreement.
“We must sustain this momentum and, where possible, accelerate the pace of work to ensure that the project is delivered strictly within the agreed timeline,” he added.
Uzodimma reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to quality infrastructure delivery, particularly in projects designed to strengthen security architecture and institutional capacity within the state.
