Gov. Buni to Commission Projects, Attend Graduation of Nurses, Midwives in Damaturu

Yobe State Governor, Hon. (Dr) Mai Mala Buni, CON is scheduled to commission key projects and attend the official graduation ceremony of student nurses and midwives in Damaturu.
According to the Governor’s official schedule, the event will also feature the launching of a magazine highlighting the administration’s achievements in the College of Nursing during his tenure in office.
The ceremony is expected to take place at the College of Nursing premises along Gujba Road, Damaturu, tomorrow Tuesday 7th April, 2026 at 11:00 am Insha Allah.
The commissioning of projects at the institution underscores the Buni administration’s continued commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery and human capital development in Yobe State. Over the years, the government has invested in upgrading health institutions, training personnel, and improving infrastructure to meet the growing healthcare needs of the people.
The graduation of the nurses and midwives is also seen as a significant milestone in boosting the state’s healthcare workforce, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
