2027 Election: Former MD,NIRSAL, Abbati declares for Adamawa central Senatorial seat .

YOLA: Ahead of the 2027 polls, the former Managing Direc Tor and Chief executive officer of Nigeria incentives Based Risks Sharing system for Agriculture lending (NIRSAL) Abdulhameed Aliyu Abbati has declared his intention to contest for the Adamawa Central Senatorial seat.
Abbati made the declaration at a press conference in Yola yesterday stressing that he would be contesting after wide consultation with stakeholders in the zone and will contest under All Progressives Congress platform.
Abbati said his desire to join the senatorial polls was born out of patriotic concern for a quality and result oriented representation for the people of the Adamawa central district noting that his people deserve someone who has the experience, capacity and network to influence more federal presence in the area.
“I’m not going to the National Assembly to warm a seat but to legislate, advocates, negotiate, attract projects and to attract federal presence”.He emphasized.
Abbati further noted that Adamawa central is too important to be underaged because they are blessed with history, location, people enterprises, farmland and waterways.
“Adamawa Central deserves representation that is active, strategic, connected, and productive. I am not coming to Abuja to warm a seat. I am going there to work, to legislate, to advocate, to negotiate, to attract projects, and to make the Federal Government more visible in the daily lives of our people”.He added
He also pledged to collaborate with the Federal Government, institutions and leaders at all level to bring development to his people especially in the areas of roads, skills, irrigation, employment opportunities, health supports, access to education, livestock development among others.
Answering a question on the party’s primaries if condition warrant, Abbati explained that as far as the process would be transparent and fair,he is willing to accept any outcome and will be loyal to the party and leaders and to support anyone aspirant that emerges as winner of the contest.
“We are loyal and obedient party members. We respect our leaders and will always be guided by their counsel. We hope that our leaders will consider us worthy enough to be accepted among the aspirants for the Adamawa Central Senatorial District.
“This contest will not be a do-or-die affair. Whichever way our leaders and senior stakeholders decide on this matter, we shall remain loyal”.Abbati reiterated.
