Kaduna assembly aspirant, Tom Garba urges internal democracy in reaching consensus

Tom Garba, an All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for Lere West State Constituency has urged for internal democracy in reaching consensus if the need arise for the party to emerge united and more stronger for 2027 elections.
Garba made the call in an interview shortly after submitting his Nomination and Interest forms at APC secretariat in Kaduna.
Garba, a journalist and online publisher, said as a loyal party man he was committed to slug it out with any aspirant through direct primaries or consensus if the need arises.
“I have submitted my forms and ready for the journey with no stresses of doubts because we carry the mandate of our people with uttermost seriousness and deliberate commitments.
“May I however say that as a loyal Party Man who believes in Party’s internal democracy consensus or Direct primaries as enshrined in the party’s constitution, I am ready for any that will strengthen the party chances in selecting the party’s flagbearer.”
According to Garba, If our party chooses and consider the consensus as safest way to bring a viable and sellable candidates on board for winning election, it is all I dream to see under the ambience of justice, fairness and inclusion of all concerned parties.
“It should be a general decision taken by our stakeholders of with all aspirants on a round table.”
He cautioned aspirants against dropping name of Gov. Uba Sani, nothing that the governor as leader of the party in the state who believes in Justice and fairness, and should not be presented as someone trying to enforce any candidate.
“For now, I am ready for direct primaries coming up May 20 unless otherwise stated by my stakeholders or the party leader.
“I’m loyal to Governor Uba Sani and the critical party stakeholders of entire Lere Local Government for their commitment to a unified and transparent primaries or free and fair consensus process that will present a credible candidate for total victory.##
