As Far as we understand politics, there are great, dogged and diehard politicians that eminated from grassroot and rose through the ranks to where they’re today.

Mohammad Usman Ammami is one among many, today grassroot politics has become a major yardstick for measuring the success or otherwise elected political office holders.

Hon Ammami is a season carrier businessman and politician who served in various capacity and political parties before finally settling in ANPP in 2011 and served as senior special Assistant (SSA) to then Governor Kashim Shettima the present VP of the federal republic of Nigeria.

Hon. Mohammad Usman Ammami began his political journey in 1992 when SDP & NRC were breded, he join SDP and served as ward executive, ward publicity secretary and as delegate among the 10 delegates that were assigned to conduct convention and chose party members and later Joined UNCP.

At the inception of democracy in 1999 he joined PDP the ruling party, he was appointed local government executive and also the publicity secretary at the local level but as time goes by, the strength of PDP in Borno was at the balance and with the assumption of Kashim Shettima as the democratically elected Governor in 2011, he and his overwheming followers decided to switch to ANPP for the betterment of their state, borno and was appointed SSA for 4 years, complete 1term under the administration of Governor Kashim Shettima.

It was really a privilege and opportunity to serve as SSA under Shettima’s administration and the trust he bestowed on me led me to where i am today. Alhamdulillah i am among the diehard ANPP who merged with CPC, ACN to form a formidable APC in 2013 ahead of 2015 general elections, that remained history and remained thorn in the flesh of opposition PDP. We dethroned a sitting government and formed a new government of APC till date.

Considering the overwhelming joy that came as a clarion call to serve again, but now as APC state assistant publicity secretary’s new helm, that hon. Ammami has rejuvenated the confidence of his excellency VP Kashim Shettima, Gov. Zulum, Hon. Bukar Dalori, Deputy National chairman north, Distinguish senator kaka shehu lawan and Abdulkadir Rahis member house of reps among others, who see me worthy to serve the party at my capacity as the state assistant publicity secretary, i salute them and pray for Almighty Allah to see them through in discharging their state and national duties efficiently and effective and i promise to remain steadfast, loyal and dedicated to them and my duty at all times. The whiteman say, a Journey of a thousand mile begins with a step so shall my journey begins inshaa Allah….
