Organisation Nominates Gov. Buni For ‘Most Digital, AI Grand Ambassador’ Award

Rider Option an Organisation working to create awareness on digital skills and artificial intelligence among youths in Northern Nigeria has nominated Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni for the prestigious ‘Most Digital and AI Grand Ambassador’ award 2023.
Executive Director of Rider Option, Engr. Isa Bashir Alkali, who signed the nomination letter to Governor Mai Mala Buni, noted that the award was a direct result of Governor Buni’s impressive strides in the field of Information Technology.
“The award was earned through a series of remarkable initiatives of the Governor Buni-led administration through exceptional policies which encompass a wide array of accomplishments, including significantly the remarkable establishing of the Yobe Information Technology Development Agency (YITDA) which contributed to the Digital Transformation Agenda.
“The establishing of the full-pledged Yobe Information Technology Development Agency (YITDA) is the first of its kind in the North East region that calls for emulation by others to drive the digital transformation agenda and create jobs.
Engr. Alkali said Governor Buni will be presented with the award during the North East conference of the 1st Northern Youth Conference And Exhibition On Artificial Intelligence scheduled to hold in Maiduguri Borno State on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th December, 2023.
He said after the successful hosting of the Organisation’s North West Conference in Minna which took place on the 4th and 5th December, 2023, the organisation is set for the North East conference in Maiduguri as scheduled.
The conference brings together stakeholders, regulators, policy makers, Fintech, Mobile payment systems, Governments, innovators, technology solution providers, social impact enterprises, banks, telecommunications firms, researchers, Development Finance Institutions, Non-Governmental organisations, entrepreneurs, start-ups, investors, and philanthropists etc seeking to promote deep knowledge on Artificial Intelligence.
The conference offers stakeholders premium opportunities to speak, sponsor, partner, collaborate, exhibit, present and network through various custom-curated experiences and branding opportunities.
Engr. Alkali said that over 317 youths from Yobe State have registered so far through the Organization portal willing to participate in the conference on Artificial Intelligence is unprecedented.
He commended the efforts of the Yobe State Government under the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni and the Director General Yobe Information Technology Development Agency YITDA for taking on the initiatives to support digital transformation agenda.
Isa Bashir Alkali said that the event is beyond the conference, the Organization willingness to partner with the States Governments and the Digital Transformation Agenda to establish Artificial Intelligence Hubs in each States which will serve as incubation, innovation and collaboration centre for digitech enthusiasts.
