1 Killed, Several Injured In Yobe Communal Clash

A 50-year-old man has been reportedly killed following a land dispute between two communities in the Gurjaji Community of Turmi ward in Fika LGA of the State.
DAILY HINT correspondent reports that thousands of residents of the affected areas including pregnant, and lactating mothers, children, persons with disabilities and elderly persons were forced to displaced to nearby communities of Maluri, Garin Ari, Dibbol and Bulaburin.
A statement by the Executive Secretary, of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency, Mohammed Goje, revealed that over 89 per cent of the community has been razed.
He said: “On a sad note, 1 person (a 50 year old deaf Man) was killed and with an arrow in his chest and another 1 person sustained a serious injury.”
Goje added that, his agency, as directed by His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni, is c
urrently intensifying effort to support vicitms with first line support while relocation and Reintegration is ongoing.
