Gombe Governor Mourns Elder Statesman, Alhaji Abdu S. Goro

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of elder statesman, Alhaji Abdu S. Goro, who passed away on Friday in Gombe at the age of 88.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya who attended the funeral prayer of the deceased held yesterday at Herwagana in Gombe, reflected on the distinguished civil service career of the late Alhaji Abdu S. Goro which spanned from the North Eastern State era.
He particularly highlighted Alhaji Abdu Goro’s remarkable legacy and contributions as a member and Chairman of both the Civil Service Commission and Teachers Service Commission as well as many other places where he worked and left behind indelible marks.
The Governor noted that the deceased was a mentor to many, both within and outside the civil service, with his influence extending far beyond his professional roles, shaping the futures of numerous individuals through his guidance and mentorship.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, including the wife of the deceased, veteran educationist Hajiya Salamatu, and the entire children. He also offered condolences to Abubakar Sadiq S. Goro, the nephew of the deceased and State Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Governor Inuwa Yahaya prayed Almighty Allah to give comfort for the grieving family, and grant the departed soul of Alhaji Abdu S. Goro rest in eternal peace in Aljannat Firdaus.
