By Abba Dukawa
The Independent Non-Executive Director of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya, has congratulated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on his courageous decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Hon. Gaya expressed confidence Governor’s courageous decision will significantly boost Kano State’s political influence by enhancing access to federal power, amplifying the state’s voice in national affairs, and translating into greater prosperity and improved welfare for the people of Kano State.
In a statement issued and signed by his media directorate and made available to media outlets across the state, Hon. Gaya warmly welcomed the Governor, alongside elected and appointed officials, party leaders, and other stakeholders, into the APC.
According to the statement that Governor Yusuf’s defection would further reinforce his impressive record of infrastructure development across the state—a record that has earned him several awards in recognition of outstanding public service delivery.
Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya described the Governor’s decision as a strategic move that will boost development and good governance in Kano State.
He further stated that Governor Yusuf’s alignment with the APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda represents a smart repositioning of Kano State as a strategic partner, an active participant, and a major beneficiary of Nigeria’s ongoing economic transformation.
Speaking on behalf of APC stakeholders in Ajingi, Gaya, and Albasu, Hon. Mahmud reaffirmed their full support for the Governor and assured him, as well as the growing number of new party members, of a warm reception and seamless integration into the APC family.
