Adamawa govt.caution security agencies over Military/Police Clash

The Adamawa state government has commenced a reconciliatory process between the military and police commands over the Tuesday’s night invasion of the state police headquarters by the military.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri,who summoned an emergency security strategy meeting yesterday expressed disappointment with development stressing that all government organizations must exercise restraint and respect for each other in the process of executing their constitutional responsibility.
There was a clash between the military and police officers in the state which occured as a result of disagreement between a police man on duty and a soldier in plain cloth snowballed to a proportional
exchange of fire and b rutal attack on the Police headquarters leaving a police inspector and one soldier dead.
Addressing journalists after the crucial inter face of about 2 hours at Government House, Yola, Fintiri said an investigation into the Crux of the matter has commenced with a view to ensuring peace and justice.
He said the meeting has resolved the conflict and that the security chiefs have vowed to work in synergy for the best interest of Adamawa and Nigeria.
He regrettably announced that both the military and police lost one officer each during the night clash, calling for restrain to avoid such ugly incident.
