The Adamawa state government has warned to any person or group of persons planning to cause any break down of law and order in the name of protest against economic hardship.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri issued the warning through a press statement released on Monday by his chief press secretary,Humwashi Wonosikou alleging that some unpatriotic people are sponsoring miscreants to unleash mayhem and upturn the existing peace in the state.
6Fintiri in the statement stressed that, intelligence report at their disposal have revealed that, some youths who are gearing up to break in to Government and private owned warehouses in the State for their selfish interests.
He noted that his Government will deal firmly with those out to threaten citizens over their personal interest.
He stated that Government will not stand by and watch hoodlums and their sponsors incite citizens to take the Law into their hands.
“I will not fold my arms and watch anyone or any group of people trying to sabotage the Government,” Governor Fintiri said.
Governor Fintiri wondered why they are refusing to utilise available channels to address their concerns and instead planning to engage in acts of sabotage.
“If criminals believe that Adamawa State is a place for them to operate, be warned that you will find this state too hot to stay.
“We are aware that some in our society are giving support to these criminal elements to upturn the peace in our state. They will not succeed. We will make sure that they don’t succeed.”Fintiri dared.
