Adamawa LG Polls: ADSIEC Concludes Screening As 12 Political Parties Participate In The Exercise

The Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) has concluded its two days screening for local government election candidates in the state.
This crucial phase of the election preparation is aimed at ensuring that all aspiring candidates meet the necessary requirements and standards to run for office, thereby upholding the integrity and transparency of the electoral process.
The Chairman of ADSIEC Alhaji Mohammed Umar, while responding to journalists, promised that the whole process would be transparent.
He noted that any political party that emerged victorious would be declared winner.
He aded that 12 political parties are going to participate in the election out of the 19 registered political parties in the state.
Many candidates commended ADSIEC for the thoroughness and transparency of the screening process, they expressed confidence in the commission’s ability to conduct fair exercise.
“The screening was rigorous and well-organized, it’s reassuring to see such dedication to ensuring that only qualified candidates can contest.”
Observers such as security personnel, board of internal revenue members, civil society organizations, and the media were present to monitor the proceedings, ensuring accountability and fostering public trust in the electoral process.
