Adamawa: SDP is the game changer for 2027 – Stakeholders.

The Adamawa state Social Democratic party (SDP), has reiterated its readiness to whistling power from the ruling parties in the state and national level in the forthcoming general elections in 2027.

Executive members of the party (SDP) made the disclosure at a press briefing on the recent unprecedented influx of other politicians from different political platforms into SDP in search of the most democratic and inclusive party for them to realize their political ambitions.

State Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon.Ibrahim Ahidjo Karlahi while anchoring the media briefing in Yola Wednesday said SDP warmly welcome all new and intending comers in to the folds assuring that the party stands for justice, fairness and progress.

Hon.Karlahi declared that both new and old members of the party are given equal recognition saying that SDP is a party where the voices of the members are heard,their opinions and interests are respected as well as protected.

“You have made the right choice by joining or intending to join a political movement that stands for justice, fairness and progress.

“We assure you that SDP remains the most democratic and inclusive party in Nigeria, committed to providing a level playing field for all”.Karlahi stressed.

He maintained that the new wave of political upsurge into the SDP is not by accident but a result of untiring efforts and struggle of the national leadership and other critical stakeholders of the party.

He also commended the patience and commitment of the state, local councils and ward executives assuring them that they will maintain their rightful positions until expiration of their tenure as provided by the party’s constitution.

“Our party leadership in the state remain intact, and we affirm our confidence in the existing state, local government and ward executives whose  hard work and dedication continue to drive the growth of the party.

“We equally affirm Dr.Umar Ardo, the state gubernatorial candidate of the party in the 2023 general elections as the leader of the party in Adamawa state while Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf steers the state leadership of the party”.Karlahi explained.

The state executive therefore urge the teeming membership of the party for unity,loyalty and commitment to the ideals of the party to ensure it remains a beacon of hope for the people of the state and Nigeria at large.
