Adamawa Senator donates 60 HP Computers to 6 institutions in Adamawa again

In an effort to promote ICT compliance among the students and staff of learning institutions in his Constituency,Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe representing Adamawa Southern Senatorial district has donated sixty (60) computers to six high institutions in his zone again.
Launching the distribution of the computers to heads of the benefiting institutions in Mayo belwa local government area Monday an official of the contracting firm,ALKAF Global Resources Limited,Mrs Eunice Timothy expressed delight with the opportunity accorded to her company by the Senator Yaroe’s Foundation in being part of history for human knowledge development
Mrs Timothy said posterity will certainly be favourable to the Senator for bringing information technology advancement to the door step of his constituents charging the receiving institutions to make judicious use of the devices.
She added that the intervention was undertaken by Alkaf global lnvestment in conjunction with Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute,NSPRI with support from Senator Binos Yaroe noting that the move is laudable.
The six (6) benefiting institutions were allocated 10 set of HP Computers including College of Agriculture Ganye, College of Health Technology Mayo belwa,State Polytechnic Yola,Numan campus,College of Agriculture Ganye,Gyawana campus,Elam ICT Teaching Centre Numan and Luther Bible College Lamurde respectively.
Recall that,in September 2023 same intervention of 71 HP computers was offered to three institutions including College of Agriculture Ganye, College of Health Technology Mayo belwa and State Polytechnic Yola,Numan campus .
In his keynote address,Senator Binos Yaroe urged the administrators of the benefiting institutions to ensure effective usage of the devices to impact ICT knowledge on the students.
Represented at the occasion by his aide,Gibson Alexander, Yaroe said that, the idea was concieved a year ago when it was noticed that during online registration for examinations or digital related issues crops up, then students and others in need from the constituency must have to travel to Yola,the state capital for such considerations.
Alexander stated that the development hooked the Senator Yaroe’s mind which made him to conducted a personal visits to all these institutions to intimate their administrators before engaging the Alkaf firm for the supply of the computers worth millions of Naira for onward distribution to these institutions.
He however, charged the administrators of the tertionary institutions to ensure absolute and judicious use of the computers so that the students and teachers can improve their academic capabilities in digital related activities.
In their responses,Hayatu Stephen Augustine of State Polytechnic Yola,Numan campus,Auwal Hamza Director,College of Health Technology.Mayo-belwa and Rev.Danjuma Mika of Elam ICT Teaching Centre Numan as the Director in charge of College of Agriculture Ganye,Gyawana Campus in Lamurde LGA,Dr.Yusuf Hayatu expressed gratitude to the Senator Yaroe for the opportunity accorded their colleges to be reconnected with the global again.
They pledged to inculcate total maintanance culture so that they can be durable for long time to come.
