Adamawa Senator flags off mega medical outreach target 15,000 patients.

A total of 15,000 patients are expected to be attended to in the ongoing 4-day free mega medical outreach sponsored by Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe in Demsa local government area of Adamawa state.
Flagging off the exercise at the Demsa cottage hospital on Friday, Senator Yaroe underscored the importance of health care intervention as a critical aspect of leadership which he said to be among the topmost priority of his stewardship in the constituency.
Senator Yaroe who represent Adamawa Southern Senatorial District reiterated his commitment in providing projects with direct bearings on his constituents like access to quality and free healthcare services noting that similar outreaches had been conducted in other local government areas, some more than once.
He however applauded the applauded the state government under Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s leadership for the ongoing facelift being accorded to the healthcare facilities across the state for quality healthcare delivery services.
In his remarks, leader of the medical team, Professor Michael Missauno, described the outreach as equivalent to bringing a teaching hospital to Demsa local government disclosing that, over 5,000 patients had already been registered, with more than 50 surgeries successfully conducted.
Missauno explained that, the team plans to treat over 15,000 people before the exercise concludes calling on other well-meaning Nigerians to complement such efforts
” I urge other well meaning Nigerians to emulate this kind gesture of the Senator as one individual cannot address all healthcare challenges alone.Fifteen thousand (15,000) patients across various urban and rural communities are expected to receive free medical services, including major and minor surgeries.
“I also commend the state government for provision of state of the art working equipments because l saw two new high quality scanning machines inside this cottage hospital”.He stressed.
The medical term lead said that, the exercise has drawn a total of 155 medical personnel from across the country,offering specialized surgical services,consultations, and treatments to local communities in Adamawa South senatorial zone.
Some of the beneficiaries interviewed at the venue including Gibson Taraki, who underwent prostate surgery, and Dimas Kechale, treated for hernia, registered their gratitude to the senator for the timely intervention in saving their lives.Both urged other political leaders to emulate Senator Yaroe’s humanitarian gesture.
In their separate remarks, the paramount ruler of the Batta Traditional council, HRM Alhamdu Gladson Teneke and the
Principal Medical Officer, (PMO) of Demsa Cottage Hospital, Dr. Mivinya Pongri, applauded the senator’s initiative, describing it as “a practical demonstration of his love for the people.
