ADSIEC Has Started Distributing Important Election Materials In Adamawa

The Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) has started distributing important voting materials, in preparation for the election of local government seats on the 13th of this month (13/7/2024), in all the 21 local government areas of the state.

The chairman of the commission, Muhammed Umar, told the media on Thursday in Yola, he said that the commission will start distributing the important materials for the election in the local governments that are far from Yola, the state capital, and on Friday, it will be distributed in the other local governments.

He stressed the commission’s intention to conduct fair and acceptable elections for all the people, he said, “distributing important election materials is a sign of the good plan to conduct free and fair elections that we have, we will make sure we conduct fair elections,” he said.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in the state, Honorable Bello Babajo, said that they are satisfied with the plan of the commission, and advised the people to come out in mass and elect the leaders they want.

So far, the agency has a number of one and a half million people who will vote in the election of local government seats, and the agency said it has prepared two and a half million voting cards.
