Again Army hands over 277 rescued women, children to BOSG

The theater Command Operation Hadin Kai hadin, Major General Wahidi Shua’ibu has handed over 277 women and children rescued from Boko Haram insurgents to Borno State government for re-radicalization and integration back to the society.
While handing the resuced victims to the Borno state government at the Maimalari cantonment, Mauduguri on Thursday, the theater Commander, Major General Wahidi Shua’ibu represented by the Deputy theater Commander, Major General Kenneth Chibuisi said ” it is my singular honour to be with you here today on this occasion of handing over of 277 women and children rescued in the Frontline to the Borno state government”.
“The theater Operation Hadin has remain committed and focused to accomplish it mandate of returning normalcy and socio-economic of the Northeast region. The theater and other sister security agencies such as police, immigration,NSCDC among other stakeholders are committed to restoring peace. the Theater Commander said .
General Shua’ibu said ” our presence here today is a display of professionalism and shows that the heater is committed to adherence to world best practices in collaboration with our partners the Non Governmental organization (NGOs) both local and international and Borno state government “.
“Today we are handing over 277 women and children and the breakdown are as follows, females 128, children 149 and they are all rescued in Bama, Dikwa and Monguno by our troops during Operation Desert sanity 3 and Operation Lake Sanity 2”, he added.
He said all the rescued victims have been subjected to profiling and medical check up and are today handed over to Borno State government for further deradicalization and reintegration.
He also commended the Borno state government under the leadership of Governor Babagana Zulum for his support and commitment to restoring peace back to the state.
Responding, the Borno state commissioner for women Affairs and social development, Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo represent by Directors Social Welfare, Hajiya Aishatu Shettima commended the military for handing over the women and children.
She said the rescued victims of insurgents will undergo further profiling, Psychosocial treatment, and skill acquisition before reintegration back to the society.
