Ardo heads to Supreme court over Adamawa governorship election.
From Umar Dankano,Yola.
The Governorship candidate of Social Democratic party,PDP in the 2023 election,Dr Umar Ardo has vow to appeal the ruling of the Court of Appeal Abuja Division dismissing his earlier appeal challenging the election of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as Governor in Adamawa state.
Dr.Ardo made his position public via his verified X handle he personally wrote on Tuesday expressing his dissatisfaction with the reasons advanced in Appeal court judgement.
“Having attentively listened the judgment of the learned justices of the Court of Appeal today dismissing my appeal, I am satisfied that my further appeal at the Supreme Court has been given brighter chances of success as many of the rubbishes made by the tribunal have been upturned and resolved in my favor.
“Except the ignorants, the learned lawyers of my opponents wouldn’t be rejoicing on the judgment today. I am sure they’re braising up for a cross-appeal themselves. See you all at the Supreme Court upper week”. Ardo stated.
It could be recalled that,Ardo approached the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal praying through his petition for cancellation of the exercise for alleged electoral malpractices, bribery, violance and corruption against Governor Umaru Fintiri and his party,PDP but was struck out for lacking in merit.
A situation that made Ardo to appealed the Tribunal’s verdict to court of Appeal seeking for Justice which was also dismissed again.
