Commuters Applaud FG’s Dualization of Zaria – Sokoto Road

Commuters who ply Zaria – Sokoto Road have commended the FG for dualizing
the road.
The move they described as “timely” and of “great benefit” to the people of the region.
The dualization of Zaria – Funtua – Gusa – Sokoto road the federal government said was meant to ease road transport challenges being faced by commuters
Commending the project which has commenced in Samaru Zaria and Gidan Dawa in zamfara state, the dualization project, they noted was awarded to about three construction companies.
Kunnengari reports that, a driver from Zamfara state, lauded the project, saying it will go a long way in not only boosting economic activities in the region, but also in neighbouring Niger Republic.
He expressed the hope that the construction companies will execute a “qualitative job” that will stand the test of time.
Another respondent, Mallam Mohammed lawal, a passenger, said he’s been plying the road from Zaria to Sokoto for the past 10 years, and described the project as a “game changer” in the transport sector of the zone and the wider country.
Similarly, leaders of communities located near the road thanked the federal government for undertaking the project, which they said will be of immense benefit to them.
They appealed to the Federal Ministry of Works to map out strategies aimed at ensuring effective supervision of the contractors to ensure they do a timely and qualitative Job.
