Dankombo assumes duty as 32nd commissioner of police in Adamawa.

The Adamawa state police command has announced the assumption of its new police commissioner in person of CP Dankombo Morris.
Spokesman of the command,SP Suleiman Nguroje made the disclosure in Yola Wednesday saying that the new police boss (Dankombo) assumed duty as the 32nd Commissioner of Police deployed to Adamawa State.
“The new CP took over from CP Afolabi Babatola, who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) and redeployed to higher responsibility as AIG in charge of zone 3 Headquarters Supervising Adamawa and Taraba States.
“CP Dankombo hails from Kaltungu Local Government Area of Gombe State. He holds a BA (Hons) in History, from University of Maiduguri, Borno State and MA International Relations and was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in the year 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and rose through ranks.
“Our new CP is a Passionate, Versatile and Experienced police Administrator who has traversed the length and breadths of law enforcement and Policing and has held several Command positions and carried out multiple tasks in his illustrious career”. Nguroje stated.
Earlier at a brief taking over ceremony at the state’s headquarters,CP Dankombo expressed gratitude to the Almighty God and the police high authorities for according him the opportunity to serve his father land in such capacity pledging to do his best.
Dankombo said much emphasis will be placed on community policing and community engagement of stakeholders which will be done in tandem with international best practices and having respect for fundamental human rights of all citizens.
He however solicited for maximum support and cooperation towards providing us with credible information about crime and criminality noting that security is everybody’s business when you see something,you say something.
