Federal Fire Service Promotes Over 1,600 Officers

The Federal Fire Service has promoted one thousand six hundred and eighty 1,680 officers and men of the service to various ranks.
Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Jaji Abdulganiyu while decorating some of the promoted officers in Abuja charged them to consider their promotion as a call to do more in the discharge of their responsibilities as fire fighters.
According him, to whom much is given much is expected and therefore, their promotion to the next rank deserved more hardwork and dedication to duty.
The Controller General who said the era of someone bribing his or her way to promotion is over maintaining that all those who were promoted got it based on merit.
He urged all officers of the Federal Fire Service to henceforth note that no one would be promoted in the service until they undergo training and must also be ICT compliance.
Jaji Abdulganiyu said most of the promoted officers especially those within the FCT would be posted out of Abuja to other states of the Federation as part of the reinforcement plan of the Service.
This year exercise saw about one hundred and forty 140 officers promoted from the rank of Supritendent of Fire to Chief Supritendent, two hundred and thirty, 230 from Deputy Supritendent to Supritendent while four hundred and forty six 446 Assistant Supritendent got their promotion to the position of Deputy Supritendent among others.
