Gov. Buni Approves Appointments of Ten New Permanent Secretaries to drive reforms and enhance service delivery

In a significant move to reinvigorate its administrative core, the Yobe State Government has announced the appointment of ten new Permanent Secretaries to drive reforms and enhance service delivery in the state.
The appointments, approved by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. (Dr) Mai Mala Buni, CON, are a central pillar of the administration’s strategy to strengthen bureaucratic structures, promote merit-based leadership, and significantly enhance the quality of service delivery across all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries were selected following a rigorous process that recognized their exemplary service records, proven administrative expertise, and unwavering dedication to the development of Yobe State.
The appointees are:
1. Bamai Zanna
2. Engr. Mai Madu Goniri
3. Bako Modu Kagu
4. Musa Garba
5. Abubakar Usman Kolere
6. Ibrahim Ali
7. Mohammed Annur
8. Abbas Isah Bizi
9. Mohammed Kalli
10. Dr. Yusuf Idriss Madaki
Their appointments take immediate effect, as formally conveyed in an official letter issued and signed by the Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betera Bularafa.
This strategic appointments is a key component of an ongoing public service reform initiative designed to inject fresh energy, innovation, and a high degree of professionalism into the state’s governance apparatus, aligning it with global best practices.
