GOV BUNI CALLS FOR MORE COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE POLICE AND COMMUNITIES.

His Excellency the Executive Governor of Yobe state Hon Mai Mala Buni CON (Chiroman Gujba) has called on the need for effective communication between the police and Communities towards ensuring a harmonious relationship that is deviod of social vices.
The Governor stated this on Wednesday when he recieved the National Chairman of Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC Alh Magaji Olaniyan Ibrahim on a courtesy call at the Government House Damaturu.
The Governor was represented by his Deputy His Excellency Hon Idi Barde Gubana (Wazirin Fune)who said that no society can progress and function well with out the police. He urged the PCRC to always ensure efficient alliance with security agencies to operate effectively.
He thanked the police for the role they play in ensuring peace and stability in the country.
He further maintained that Government will continue to support security agencies in the discharge of their national assignment.
Earlier, the National Chairman PCRC Alh Magaji Olaniyan Ibrahim said PCRC is a community based organization established by the leadership of Nigeria police Force in 1984 to foster a partnership and understanding between the police and Community with a view to enhancing efficient and effective policing of communities in Nigeria. Adding that one of the objectives is to bring the police closer to the people at the grassroots which will help in protecting the lives and property of Nigerians at all levels.
PCRC will continue to promote cooperation and understanding between the police and communities.
He commended the state government for the support rendered to the PCRC Yobe command which helps greatly to the service of Humanity and pleaded with Government to maintain the tempho.
