Gov. Buni Commiserates With Nigeria Police, Family of Deceased Policeman

His Excellency the Executive Governor of Yobe state, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, has commiserated with the Nigeria Police Force and family of the deceased police Corporal Maina Mohammed, who died in a suspected terrorist attack along the Maiduguri to Damaturu highway.
Buni described the death of the policeman attached to the ‘Operation Haba Maza’ security outfit as tragic, sad, and unfortunate.
Maina died yesterday in a gun duel with suspected terrorists near Benishiek in Borno State.
The governor prayed for the repose of the soul of the gallant policeman in Aljannatur Firdaus.
He also prayed for the quick recovery of those who sustained injuries
The late policeman was on the security escort of the governor to Maiduguri yesterday to attend the Convocation ceremony of the University of Maiduguri.
The governor proceeded to Abuja to attend to other official functions on Monday and Tuesday.
The convoy, while on its way back to Damaturu, ran into an ambush mounted by the suspected terrorists.
Governor Buni directed the management of the Specialist Hospital Damaturu to provide full medical services to the injured security personnel.
The governor also directed the secretary to the state government to forward to his office a support measure to the family of the deceased policeman.
