Gov Buni distributes 17 vehicles to APC chairmen in Yobe

By Hussaini Ibrahim

DAMATURU, NIGERIA — Mai Mala Buni, Governor of Yobe State, has distributed 17 brand-new vehicles to chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the 17 local government areas of the state to strengthen grassroots leadership and enhance party coordination.

The vehicles were presented on behalf of the governor by the Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana, who said the gesture was aimed at facilitating the activities of party leadership at the grassroots level and supporting effective implementation of party programmes.

Gubana explained that the vehicles would enable the local government party chairmen to carry out their responsibilities more efficiently, particularly in mobilising support for government policies and strengthening the party structure across the state.

“The gesture is aimed at facilitating the activities of party leadership at the grassroots and ensuring effective coordination of the policies and programmes of the ruling party,” he said.

He urged the beneficiaries to make proper use of the vehicles in carrying out their duties, stressing the need to strengthen party unity and consolidate the achievements of the APC in the state.

The deputy governor also advised the chairmen to avoid bitterness and political betrayals while working towards uniting party supporters across their respective local government areas.

According to him, Governor Buni has confidence in the ability of the newly elected chairmen to deliver on their mandate, noting that grassroots leadership remains critical to the continued success of the party.

He further urged them to adhere strictly to the principles, constitution and guidelines of the APC while maintaining close collaboration with party stakeholders across the state.

Earlier in his remarks, the Yobe State APC Chairman, Mohammed Gadaka, appreciated party stakeholders for their support during the congresses that produced the new executives.

Gadaka congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to reciprocate the governor’s gesture through dedication, loyalty and commitment to strengthening the party across the local government areas.

“The vehicles are not for personal use or sale. They must be deployed strictly for party activities,” he said.

The event was attended by top government and party officials including the Secretary to the State Government, the Head of the State Civil Service, Sidi Yakubu Karasuwa, Aji Yerima Bularafa, Sale Samanja, the Special Adviser on Political Matters, members of the APC State Executive Committee and other party stakeholders.
