Gov. Buni donates N30m to victims of mafa Boko Haram Attack

The Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni COSN, has distributed cash support to families of victims of the recent insurgents’ attack in the Mafa community, Tarmuwa Local Government Area.

Alhaji Mala Misty, Adviser to Gov. Mai Mala Buni on Higher Education, announced this on Wednesday in Damaturu after the burial of 32 deceased members of the Mafa community.

The governor, represented by his deputy Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana, donated N30 million to support the victims’ families, in addition to contributions from other sympathizers.

The funds were distributed to 128 bereaved families and those displaced by the attack, to cushion the effect of the incident.

Among the beneficiaries, including Malam Aisha Danbade and Malam Mustapha Muhammad, expressed gratitude to the governor and other sympathizers for their support.

The attack, suspected to be carried out by Boko Haram terrorists, resulted in dozens of deaths and displacement of many others.
