Gov. Buni Expand Ramadan Feeding Funds, Centres in Yobe

By Usman Bello, Damaturu.

H.E Gov. Mai Mala Buni CON, has expanded Ramadan feeding centres from the initial 67 to 84 across the 17LGS with a view to providing atleast 200 vulnerable and needy Muslims with free meals daily.

The governor has also increased the Ramadan feeding fund from N103 million last year to N187 million in 2024, to cover more people in the programme.

This is in line with His Excellency’s long standing and admirably consistent policy of catering to the welfare of the needy and the less privileged in the society.

Interestingly, Gov. Buni has turned Ramadan free feeding (Iftar) to the needy and less privileged persons to a yearly affairs, where he used to reach out to people even personally to show love and charity to them.

We want to call on the people, especially the wealthy individuals, to complement the efforts of Gov. Mai Mala Buni by supporting the needy and the less privileged for a prosperous and more united society.
