On this note, I hereby direct the Ministry of Agriculture to map out effective and practical strategy for partnership with the local government councils for very successful irrigation programmes and projects across the state”.

“You are advised to imbibe the principles of accountability, transparency, and due process to be on the same page with this administration, and with commitment to the execution of people-oriented policies and programmes to improve the lives of the people”.

“You should make governance less expensive and put more resources into projects and programmes that have direct bearing on the lives of the people. The Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs is hereby directed to supervise the performances of the Management Committees”.

“Furthermore, you should ensure that all Federal and State Governments policies and programmes are adequately implemented in the interest of the people, as you strive to explore and deepen lnternally Generated Revenue sources in your areas”.

“I am glad to inform you that we will conduct elections into the Local Government Councils in May, 2024 in-shaa Allah, to deepen the democratic processes at the grassroots level”.
