By Hussaini Ibrahim

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State is set to unveil a state-of-the-art maternity and neonatal care center in Damaturu, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to improving healthcare services in Yobe State.

The 80-bed facility, located within the Specialist Hospital Damaturu, is nearing completion and is expected to provide top-tier medical care for pregnant women and newborns.

Despite being initiated just three months ago, the project has progressed rapidly, featuring modern infrastructure and advanced medical equipment to enhance maternal and infant healthcare.

The Chief Medical Director of Specialist Hospital Damaturu, Dr. Usman Abba Geidam, lauded Governor Buni for his dedication to healthcare development and prayed for his continued success.

The soon-to-be-unveiled maternity and neonatal center underscores the Yobe State Government’s commitment to reducing maternal and infant mortality rates while improving healthcare accessibility for residents.
