Gov. Buni To Flag Off Distribution of Presidential Emergency Food and Nutrition Items in Yobe

His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. (Dr) Mai Mala Buni, CON, will on Wednesday, 4th March 2026, flag off the distribution of Presidential Emergency Food and Nutrition Items to vulnerable households across the state.
The official ceremony is scheduled to hold at 2:00pm at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Damaturu.
The intervention programme, initiated by the Federal Government, is aimed at cushioning the effects of economic hardship and improving food security among vulnerable groups, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
H.E Governor Buni is expected to reaffirm his administration’s commitment to supporting federal government initiatives designed to enhance the welfare of citizens and strengthen social protection mechanisms in Yobe State.
The distribution exercise will target beneficiaries across the 17 Local Government Areas, with priority given to the less privileged, internally displaced persons, and other vulnerable groups.
