Gov. Buni To Meet Service Chiefs On Border Patrol

Yobe state Governor, His Excellency, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON is to meet with the Chiefs of Army and Air staff as a follow-up to the resolution of the state Security Council meeting in Damaturu yesterday.
Governor Buni is scheduled to brief the security chiefs on the resolutions of the meeting and the need to intensify security presence along the borders.
The governor would also seek for a joint operation of the army, Airforce, and police for clearance of possible Undetonated, Explosive Ordinance devices in some suspected areas.
Briefing newsmen after the security meeting, the Special Adviser to Governor Buni on Security Matters, Brig. Gen. Abdulsalam Dahiru (rtd) said suspected gunmen infiltrated into the state and attacked the border village.
“Yobe state shares common borders with Borno state and Niger Republic, security operatives have been deployed to the affected community to check the infiltration,” he said.
Governor Buni, who commiserated with the families of the victims of the attack, prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased persons in Aljannatur Firdaus.
He also directed the Secretary to the State Government to constitute a government delegation to visit, condole, and identify with the families of the victims
.
Similarly, Governor Buni has directed the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to support the families of the deceased persons with their immediate needs.
