Yobe State has emerged as a model for effective inter-agency collaboration in healthcare delivery, demonstrating Governor Mai Mala Buni’s commitment to improving health services and ensuring accessible, quality healthcare for residents.

Under Buni’s administration, key healthcare agencies—including the Yobe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA), Yobe State Drugs and Medical Consumables Management Agency (YODMA), Yobe State Emergency Ambulance Services (YEMABUS), and Yobe State Healthcare Facilities Inspections and Monitoring Agency (YOHFIMA)—have established a coordinated framework to enhance service delivery.

At the heart of this progress, YSCHMA has played a crucial role in expanding affordable healthcare access through health insurance schemes that target both formal and informal sectors. By partnering with healthcare providers, the agency ensures that vulnerable populations receive essential medical services.
