Gov Fintiri Grant N50,000 To 10,000 Women, As He Inaugurates Over 30 Buses To Adamawa Residents

To Ease Transportations Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has Inaugurates another batch of intra and intercity mass transit system with the deployment of 31 buses for students and residents in the State.
The buses were inaugurated at Mahmud Ribadu Square, Yola on Thursday. Governor Fintiri has presented keys of the 75-seater vehicles to school authorities and Adamawa Sunshine among others.
Speaking at the event, Governor Umaru Fintiri said the buses will fix the transportation hardships experienced by the students and other state residents.
The Governor said in the first batch, 10 luxurious busses were deployed to cushion the effect of transportation hardship on people in Adamawa.
The Governor said, “I want to reassure you that this administration is by all means sensitive to the hard times and economic crunch that a large population of our citizens are passing through.
“The situation in the country is definitely tough for everyone. The onus is on all of us to be innovative in crafting deliberate cushioning measures that would ease the hardship and build our resilience as we struggle to navigate this phase.”
With the debate on the new minimum wage settled, Governor Umaru Fintiri has announced that the state government intends to recruit more people into the civil service.
Furthermore governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has flagged off disbursement of N50,000 grant to 10,000 women under the Fintiri Business Wallet across the 21 LGAs.
The programme which is the second batch of the empowerment programme will promote the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) among Womenfolk in the state.
He said in the last five years, his administration has trained over 45,000 youths in various trades and provided them with starter-packs while over 30,000 beneficiaries were placed on a monthly stipend of ₦10,000.

He asked each of the ten thousand woman beneficiaries to use the grant to either support or start up trading.
