Governor Fintiri Presents third class Staff Of Office to Gubo Yungur, Calls For Peace & Unity.

In the series of coronation and presentation of staff of office to the seven newly created Emirates and Districts in Adamawa state, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has presented a third-class staff of office to Gubo Yungur, Gubo Johnson Diyo Matalo.
Making the official presentation in Dumne village in Song local government area Thursday Governor Fintir urge the new paramount chief to prioritize fairness, security, justice, equity, tolerance, and solidarity for the upliftment of his chiefdom.
Fintiri noted that, the creation of the Yungur Chiefdom, along with other Chiefdoms and Emirates, was a step toward correcting historical imbalances.
“As a historian, I understand the history of our people. There was no justification for the Yungur people to be subjected under the traditional rule of anyone else. I am glad to have rectified this anomaly,” the Governor stated.
The Governor pledged to continue restoring dignity, improving living standards, and ensuring security for the people. He emphasized the region’s vast resources, fertile land, and resilient population, urging the chiefdom to harness these potentials to become an economic hub.
He warned that the government would take decisive action against any threats to unity and progress advancing that the diversity in us should be our rallying point as a people.
Fintiri highlighted the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance since taking office six years ago. He noted that the creation of the Yungur Chiefdom, along with other Chiefdoms and Emirates, was a step toward correcting historical imbalances.
