Gulani LGA Stakeholders pays Thank-you visit to Gov. Buni for appointing Sons in Government, Infrastructure development

The people of Gulani Local Government Area on Saturday, paid a Thank-you visit to Governor Mai Mala Buni CON, at the Government House, Damaturu, for his special love and attention to the community especially in the areas of security, infrastructural development and appointments.

The jubilant people of Gulani, who were led by the Commissioner Ministry of Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Employment Generation, Hon. Alh Aji Yerima Bularafa (Mal Terab of Gujba), expressed their joy and deep appreciation to Gov. Buni for bringing uncommon infrastructural and human capital development to their community after Boko Haram devastations.

They specifically expressed gratitude to the Governor for appointing Mohammed Mohammed Bara as Commissioner, and appointments of several other sons and daughters of Gulani in to positions to contribute their quota in the present administration.

On healthcare, they said that the construction and equipment of General Hospital Bara is the best thing that has ever happened in Gulani local government. They said that it was a major project which has enhanced access to health services, especially for pregnant women and children as well as treatment of minor and serious diseases, illnesses and disorders.

The Gulani people equally thanked Gov. Buni for the constructed, furnished and equipped Primary Health Care Centres in Dokshi, Bularafa, Gumsa, Jibulwa, Bara and Kushimaga that have greatly contributed in reducing maternal and child mortality rates in the area as most operations are now done in the facilities.

On infrastructure, the people of Gulani disclosed that they are happy to have benefited from the grassroots development projects of the Gov. Buni administration for developing the rural areas. “The construction of roads and culverts has help our people to move in and out of their communities”.

On water supply, the Gulani people also commended Gov. Buni for drilling several boreholes to improve water supply in the local government area that improved quality of life of the people.

They also expressed gratitude to the governor for reconstructing and furnishing modern classroom blocks in several primary and secondary schools across the local government that is changing the face of education in the area.

Expressing their exceeding happiness and gratitude to the governor for the electrification of several towns and villages, the people of the Community noted that “this is the first time since the creation of Gulani Local Government Area that this type of development is being recorded.

“Gulani people shall forever remain indebted to you for all you have been doing for us”, they said, adding that “what we can humbly offer in return for your love and kindness is our 100 percent loyalty and total support, in addition to our fervent prayers to Almighty Allah to continue His blessings and protection on you throughout your life”.

Responding, Gov. Buni enjoined the Gulani stakeholders to always remained united and pray for peace and stability in order to continue to benefit from dividends of democracy.

The governor, who emphasized the importance of peace building to enable government carry out developmental projects, reiterated his administration’s commitment to peace and good governance in spite of the nation’s economic challenges.

He therefore reassured the people of the community that more of their needs will be addressed.
