Gwarzo reiterates commitment to business-friendly environment in Kano

Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, disclosed that the current administration will be relentless in pursuing a more holistic roadmap and strategies to enhance, improve ease and provide a congenial atmosphere for business value-chain in the state.
Comrade Gwarzo, who doubles as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, dropped the hint while interacting with members of the Singer Market Association (SMA) at a night dinner organized by the association.
The deputy governor acknowledged the restfulness support and commitments of the association towards ensuring the success of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), during the 2023 general elections.
“It’s still in our minds and hovering for your steadfastness and contributions to this journey. We recalled that last year by this time, this association invited us here for a warm reception where issues regarding our victory were extensively discussed,” he noted.
He revealed that the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf will not heed the threats by unscrupulous elements who are bent on scuttling business activities in the state.
According to him, sustaining and overhauling the reputation of the state as a centre of commerce is one of the paramount missions of the NNPP-led regime
“Kano has been widely known and acknowledged as one of the most vibrant commercial states in Nigeria for centuries. People troops in large numbers to the state to conduct their businesses activities from across the Sahel or the world at large, admirable to this two of the richest business tycoons in Africa Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Alhaji Abdussamad Rabi’u are indigenous of the state,” he added.
According to him, the state government will continue to intermingle with experts from within and outside the country to design general approaches and holistic mechanisms in developing the predetermined goals.
Earlier speaking, the chairman of the association, Alhaji Muntari Gwasan-Gwami, thanked the deputy governor for honouring their invitation and hoped the existing relationship will wax stronger.
He pointed out that the rationale behind the gathering was to exchange pleasantries to facilitate with each other over NNPP’s victory during the March governorship poll in Kano.
The chairman used the avenue to call on the Kano state government to disregard insinuations from political opponents.
