JUST IN: Kano Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Yusuf Ali, Dies @ 73

A renowned Islamic scholar in Kano, Sheikh Yusuf Ali, has died at the age of 73
Daily Hint learnt that the deceased passed away following a protracted illness at his residence in Kano.
His death was announced by his politician son, Muslihu Yusuf Ali, via a Facebook post on Sunday night.
Born in 1950 in Gaya town, Kano State, the late Islamic scholar began his legal career in 1974 as a Sharia Court Scribe and rose through the ranks to become Chief Clerk, Assistant Registrar, Registrar, Upper Sharia Court Judge and Director at the Upper Sharia Court.
He retired in 2009 and continued with Islamic teachings and offering spiritual healing.
His funeral (Jana’iza) will take place at his residence at the Tudun Maliki quarters by 1:30 pm on Monday.
