JUST IN: President Tinubu Appoints New EFCC Chairman

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ola Olukoyede to serve as the new Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). 

Presidential spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement on Thursday, said Mr Olukoyede is to chair the commission for a renewable term of four years in the first instance, pending Senate confirmation.

The appointment followed the resignation of the suspended Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa.
