Kannywood mourns Veteran actress Fati Slow

Veteran Kannywood actress, Fatima Usman, known to all as Fati Slow, passed away on Monday near Sudan.
The news, confirmed by Kano activist Mansura Isa on Facebook a day later, plunged the Hausa film industry into mourning.
Executive Secretary of the Kano State Censorship Board, Abba El-Mustapha, offered his condolences on social media.
Described as a warm and professional actress, Fati Slow brought characters to life with a captivating presence. Her passing leaves a void not just in Kannywood, but in the hearts of her fans.
A funeral was held near Sudan according to Islamic rites. Back in Kano, a special prayer for the deceased is ongoing at her family home in Unguwan Uku. Fati Slow’s legacy extends beyond the screen.
She was a role model who defied challenges and thrived in the film industry.
As Kannywood grieves, her influence will undoubtedly inspire future generations.
